This is the trip that I spoke about our last meeting.  I think it is a great opportunity to intentionally take time to allow God to shape us through service and reflection.  If anyone is interested, feel free to let me know or contact Craig Jost at MBMSI, who is leading the trip.

I’ve been kindof racking my brain lately about what we’re gonna “do” in our small group.  I mean… what is the point, right?  Yes, i’m pumped about getting to know everyone, but what is THE point? 

I think Jesus probably has the best answer.  In Matthew ch. 22 and John 13:35 he basically says, “this is what its all about – LOVE GOD…. then love each other… that is how you will make me known to the world” (Adam’s special translation from the Greek).   

I wonder if the “Love God” part is necessary for the “love others” part.  I think so…  

As you ponder about how much you love your spouse on Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to think about where you are at with the “Love God” part.  Are you continually growing in your love for God?  Are you in a period where you don’t really feel much love at all?  These are some questions that I think we need to begin to think about as we begin our small group.   Any thoughts?
