For those of you who missed group last night, we began our discussion on this video. Please watch!
So, near the beginning of his ministry, Jesus called his disciples in a fairly upside-down way.
Read:
1 Corinthians 1:26-29
and ask: Do insecurities play a role in your life… in your faith?
First of all, WOW! Great video…glad it was posted on our neat little site since we missed sun night…sorry! I now fully understand the perspective God wants us to see. I never really saw it that way. It makes perfect sense why they would drop whatever they were doing to follow Him…Not that I thought it was a crazy idea in the first place, but to really just think that he wanted them (‘us’) to follow him not because we should but because He has faith we CAN be ‘like’ Him in our lives as well…..I really enjoyed the detailed description of the process of children’s learning journey of that time also; it was more complex than I thought……….
Adam, thanks for the video. Sorry that we couldn’t make it on sunday.
One thing that stuck out and is encouraging to me was the very last part of the video, where he said that “God has faith in us, that we really can be like Him”. Its another way to try to comprehend the love that God has for us.
Hey guys, I ran across a post from a friend’s blog… I think it speaks to what we’re talking about.
